Motivated by the consequences of the rainfalls in Berlin 2017. The goal of this university project was to get familiar with the setting of a customer and a Data Scientist who gets information, a goal and perhaps data. The (fictive) customer here was the City of Berlin.
This project combines different open data sources and creates a new data set. Based on this newly created data, an easy water flow formula, and a lot of assumptions and simplifications this timestep-based modeling of the water mass distribution was implemented.
